Tolga Bat Hopsital, AustraliaEvery year Tolga Bat Hospital rescues, rehabilitates and releases hundreds of bats that might otherwise die. They provide lifetime sanctuary for many bats that are too severely injured to return to the wild. Whilst this makes a real difference to the individual animal, and the volunteers who are privileged to interact with them, there is a lot more to be done. They are therefore very actively engaged in education, habitat restoration, research and advocacy.

Their aims are to improve the public's perception and understanding of bats, and to contribute to the survival of bats and their habitat. They are not government funded and are a not-for-profit community group staffed entirely by volunteers. There are numerous ways to support them: become a member of Tolga Bat Hospital, stay at their guesthouse, make a donation or purchase items from their online shop.
